How to break it to them: bad in bed?

I really adore my boyfriend. He's good looking, smart, funny, sensitive, and we get along great. He's passionate when he needs to be, and reserved when it calls for it. However, in the bedroom, I feel like he's never up to play. He doesn't really get hard at all, but seems to find it no problem - I find it a major problem. It feels like nothing. Like a wiggly jello stick -___- How do I fix this? Do I just break it to him, even though I know we're both defensive about these things (and it may possibly blow up in my face)?
