My dog's claws are too long.The vet clipped them "as short as they could" can they be shorter?

Take to the groomer every two weeks and ask them to use the nail grinder instead of the nail clippers u can go back a little bit further with a dremmel than with nail clippers this is what i use at work for dogs with long quicks i am a groomer
