My puppy cries when I'm not holding him?

Just like a human baby, if you pick him up every time he cries, you teach him that crying gets him his way. You teach him to stop by IGNORING him. ESPECIALLY when you're eating! If you don't already have a crate, GET ONE. Every dog needs his own place. If he won't leave you alone when you eat, you put him in his crate. And you NEVER let him out when he is fussing. If he screams for 2 hours, you leave him in the crate for 2 hours. Until you get tough (or maybe get earplugs, lol) he is going to continue to rule the household. And with a JRT, you better learn to be the boss NOW. Otherwise, you'll have a tiny dictator on your hands.
