Why would my crush hurt me like this?

So this boy who likes me (told me im pretty and told his guy friends that he likes me) said on Friday right to my face, "Olivia, why do you try? You show off in front of all of the guys, it's like, get out of the f*cking closet" because my guy friend was tazing me (not with the gun, it's when you use your hands) and my other guy friend was putting his arm around me. I didn't try to act like an attention whore or anything at all because I like him and didn't mean to send him the wrong message.
